Color series, Part IV: Style in Black

Hello beautiful woman,

Here we are again on doitwithyourstyle. Last time was YELLOW time. Now it's time for my favorite color, a color that represents timeless elegance: BLACK.

The combination BLACK and WHITE is simply perfect! More about it in my next WHITE article. I can sleep very well with BLACK surrounding me like in the bed set below. A Montblanc fountain pen will always be a status symbol and black coffee in a fancy cup with chocolate spoons looks and tastes sooooooo good!

I have at least 4 items in BLACK of any clothing and accessories pieces. Although I love BLACK and I'm absolutely for monochromatic outfits, I always try to combine it with a small piece/accessory in another color or with a fancy pattern.

Chanel black quilted caviar handbag: the dream purse every woman!

So stylish!

Me in Zurich, Switzerland

Me in a restaurant in New York
Does BLACK make us look slimmer and sexier? Biensure!

I just love smokey eyes... Actually I love to wear dark makeup in my eyes and nude and matte on my lips, a real "diva look".

Next time is BEIGE time. Why don't you share with me your "tip in BLACK"? Meanwhile, don't forget: No matter what you do, do it with style. YOUR style. Stay tuned.

A fresh brewed black coffee in a fancy cup with those chocolate spoons just for you. Oh, you don't drink coffee, not even decaf? Ok, a tasty black tea for you then. ;0)

Color series, Part III: Style in Yellow/Golden

Hello beautiful woman,

Welcome back to doitwithyourstyle. Last time was BLUE time and now it’s time for a bright and energetic color, YELLOW,  and a noble version of it, GOLDEN.

YELLOW is definitely not my color but I must confess it puts me in a good mood. For example, sunflowers make me smile and feel happy! Aren’t they cheerful flowers?

My morning coffee in such a kitchen is a real 'good morning coffee'

My dose of cheerfulness!

Hmmm, YELLOW can also make my mouth waters…

Passion fruit dessert
Mango pie

If one wants to make a statement, red is a good color but YELLOW is even bolder! Want to look “expensive”? Nothing like wearing gold jewelry especially in combination with diamonds…

Yellow Hermès Birkin Bag

Bright yellow Burberry trenchcoat

Gold and diamond earrings

Golden bangles

YELLOW is really bold in a makeup and, wow, doesn’t it look sophisticated too? I would feel myself ready for the photoshooting!

Next time is BLACK time and I can’t hardly wait for it! Uh, could that be because it is my favorite color? :0) By the way, if YELLOW is your favorite color, why don't you tell me why?

A vase with a huge sunflower to you for a very bright day! ;0)

Color series, Part II: Style in Blue

Hello beautiful woman,

Good to see you here on doitwithyourstyle again. Hope you enjoyed the post about red. Now it’s time for another beautiful color: BLUE.

Something BLUE with style? Although I don’t drink whisky (in my opinion it’s a man’s drink) I can only think now of a Johnny Walker Blue Label. Oh, once I ate a blue ice cream in Milan, Italy and it tasted really good. Guess it was a chewing gum ice cream, not sure. For some reason I picked it just because it was blue!

You must agree with me that blue is perfect for bathrooms. I could take a long bath every day in such a charming bathroom.

Just like red, blue isn’t one of my favorite colors either. Nevertheless I love to wear blue when it comes to fitness, especially in combination with gray. The perfect jeans? Well, I usually wear bootcut dark denim jeans.
Bebe jogging suit

Me and my True Religion bootcut jeans

These pieces look very elegant, don't they?

Nothing like a Ralph Lauren navy blue blazer

I love cats, even blue ones! ( http://www.kraftykatscuriosityshop.com/indigocatsybylaurelburch-silkscarfembellishedwithsequins.aspx  )
Blue for the eyes make them sparkle, no matter if your eyes are dark or light. I recommend blue eyeshadow and eyeliner, especially a navy shadow at the lash line. I feel so stylish when I wear a blue mascara!

If BLUE  is your favorite color, why don’t you share with me and my readers how you incorporate it in your lifestyle?

Next time it’s yellow/golden time. Stay tuned and don’t forget: No matter what you do, do it with style. YOUR style.

Lots of fine blue glitter gently blown on your eyelids. ;0)

Color series, Part I: Style in Red

Hello beautiful woman,

I’m glad you’re here on doitwithyourstyle. Welcome! This is the start of my 12-color series and let’s get started with a „wow“ color: RED. Speaking of red, isn't a red carpet a synonym for glamour? I can easily get used to it. :0)

Me at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin
As I wrote in my last post, I’m here to discuss style in a broader sense so... isn't this kitchen to fall in love with?

To be quite sincere, red is not one of my favorite colors. I wear red though but only as a tiny accessory when I want to show around that I’m in the mood of getting what I want! As red I mean any tone from tomato to bordeaux (wine).

Red laptop bag

Absolute power on high heels: Christian Louboutin shoes

Eye-catcher for sure!

I just love red with animal prints

We know RED is a bold color not for every woman and ooooooohhhh, it "sets fire" in every outfit and hmmmmm, it looks fantastic on lips, nails, toes and even on eyelids. I highly recommend red clothes and accessories if you are sexy by nature or want to „incorporate“ a sexy woman. There is no better color to boost a woman’s self-esteem. Wear red lingerie or have your toes polished in red to see if you don’t feel like Aphrodite/Venus, the Greek goddess of Love and Beauty!

Beautiful Rihanna

Check out these „tips in red“ if you want to seduce/please someone’s appetite (or your own).

Poached pears (recipe on www.angsarap.net)

Red wellness drink (www.zriiproduct.com)

Pomegranate Martini, one of my favorite drinks
If RED is definitely your color or you use it as a seduction/self-esteem boost weapon, why not sharing your tip/experience with me and my readers? We’ll love it!

Next time is BLUE time. Stay tuned and don’t forget: No matter what you do, do it with style. YOUR style.

Red rose petals from me: Put your hands together and hold them! ;0) Until next time.

I, myself and my style

Hello beautiful woman,

So far I’ve shown you here on doitwithyourstyle a bit of my expertise as a Style Coach and hope you have enjoyed it. As Fashion, Beauty and Style always fascinated me, time and passion have made me a connaisseuse of these fine fields. I am one of those women who people watch from top to bottom and rarely goes by unnoticed and I just love it! :0)

Me at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin

I like the concept of Style and as I’m a firm believer that we are unique in many senses, I’ve decided to change the main theme of my blog and dedicate myself to a more, let’s say, „philosophical“ approach, i.e., taking Style to a broader sense, actually as a way of life.  That being said, I want to express myself through my articles and share with all of you my own views of Style, Fashion, Beauty and another very important element in my life: Travel. I’ve been to 25 countries so far, I speak 5 languages and have lived near Stuttgart, Germany for over 12 years now. All my international trips were NOT on business, only for pleasure so I can proudly say that I have really enjoyed every place I visited so far. I feel really blessed.

They perfectly suit me!

From now on I’ll only share with you what I, myself, see as something with style and I’ll always motivate you to develop and enjoy your own style which means way more than the way you dress yourself and apply your makeup. We, wonderful women, all have our way to deal with our daily chores, solve our problems, decorate our places, dump a man or give it back to someone (I love these ones!). We also have a dance style, walking style, and our own répertoire of mottos and expressions.

I particularly see myself as a „cool lady“, a very feminine woman who is proud of her ladylike demeanour and traits. No wonder I dedicated 5 articles to the Greek goddesses and their contemporary styles… Womanity is so close to divinity!

Follow me and I assure you 100%  you will not only have fun with my articles but even moments of enlightenment and why? Because enjoying our own styles is a healthy and entertaining way of life. Isn’t it fun and inspiring to observe other people’s styles? Don’t you feel great when someone pays you a compliment on your looks or performance you know they don’t do to anyone? That’s style, my dear. YOUR style.

Stay tuned. A sprinkle of Allure by Chanel for you!

PS: I wonder if you've noticed I'm crazy for high heels... :0)

What is Style Coaching? What does a Style Coach do?

Hello wonderful woman,

I've introduced you to the Greek goddesses and to the 5 basic styles in my previous posts, and I hope you liked them. So, have you identified your style or found the one you want to develop? Not yet? That's ok. Maybe it is a case for a Style Coach! :0)

What is Style Coaching? First I'm telling you what it's NOT. According to the Style Coaching Institute England, Style Coaching is NOT JUST about the clothes you wear and the image you present to people around you. Its aim is that we become effortlessly stylish and comfortable in our own skin, i.e., looking good and feeling great inside and out. It's about YOU and can be an invaluable part of your self-development journey. My very personal description of Style Coaching is: It's all about finding the perfect combination of what matches/suits a client according to their body, skin and hair types. It's not only about what matches what but what matches YOU.

What does a Style Coach do? What is his/her role? According to the Style Coaching Institute England, a Style Coach is someone trained to practice the unique combination of the skills of a Personal Stylist, Image Consultant and Life Coach. He/She helps their clients to achieve the look they want and a new confidence. My own definition of a Style Coach is: the qualified "fairy" who can help you look and feel your very best. :0) He/She (unfortunately) does not possess a magic wand but he/she will always cheer you up and be ready to help you keeping track of your goals. There's nothing more rewarding for a Style Coach than YOUR success!

Next time I'll start a series about Colors and how they can be used to enhance your own beauty and personality. Don't miss it and never forget: No matter what you do, do it with style. YOUR style. Stay tuned.

Your Style Coach,

Aline Lermer
